A Taste of Summer: Our New Menus Have Arrived
At Old Queen Street, we’re celebrating the summer season with a new menu that makes the most of what’s fresh, ripe, and full of flavour.
Our talented Executive Head Chef, Elliot Spurdle, has our kitchen buzzing with the colours and textures of the season’s finest: juicy Isle of Wight tomatoes, fragrant strawberries, velvety apricots, fragrant basil and crisp green beans, to name but a few. These seasonal heroes need little else to make a dish sing.
HIGHLIGHTING OUR SEASONAL HEROES
You’ll find Isle of Wight tomatoes in dishes across our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. They are a joy to cook with and are renowned for their exceptional flavour, thanks to the island’s unique climate and rich, fertile soil. Grown in sunshine-filled greenhouses and ripened slowly on the vine, they develop a natural sweetness and depth that sets them apart. Their vibrant colour, juicy texture, and balanced acidity make Isle of Wight tomatoes a true hero of British summer produce.
Strawberries and apricots come into their own in light, elegant desserts, nestled into deliciously sweet overnight oats or paired with our Grilled Goat’s Cheese starter. Courgettes and green beans bring freshness and crunch to vibrant sides and mains, such as our Blackened Tuna & Sweetcorn or our Seared Sea Bream dishes.
Our summer menus are a celebration of seasonality, built on relationships with growers and suppliers who know their soil as well as their produce. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick spot of lunch or planning a long, leisurely dinner with friends, we invite you to taste summer at its peak.
